The Borovets is best known for the wide range of winter activities that the resort offers between the months of December and April. The Rila Mountain range provides a stunning back drop in which to enjoy the sports. Villa Samokov provides the perfect base from which to take full advantage of the skiing snowboarding, skidooing, tobogganing and cross country skiing. The cozy villa provides the ideal atmosphere for rest and relaxation after a hard day on the slopes. Close enough to return for apres ski but comfortable enough to relax for the evening. |

| The Bulgarian climate is ideal for winter sports. The winters are cold with heavy snowfall in the mountains with average January temperatures of -5°C in the valleys and ski resorts, and up to -20°C on the high peaks. Snow cover usually lasts for five or six months (December to April) and is guaranteed on the high slopes of Mount Mousala which peaks at over 2500metres above sea level. We are happy to arrange ski/ snowboard lessons and equipment rentals for our guests. We use the Rossignol shop based in the resort which provides english speaking instructors and a good standard of equipment. |
